Charity projects
The IAEA Staff Association Charity Ball is a non-profit event where all proceeds support charitable and humanitarian initiatives carefully selected by the IAEA Staff Association Charity Committee. Reflecting a strong long-standing commitment to charity, the Ball Committee is proud to organize one of the few traditional Viennese balls dedicated entirely to projects that create a meaningful and sustainable impact.
In 2025, the IAEA Staff Association made nine donations to charities in the host country and international charities operating in Burundi, Morocco, India and Sri Lanka. The IAEA Staff Association Charity Committee recommended supporting charities that fulfilled the eligibility criteria listed in the Committee’s Terms of Reference, while also ensuring geographic diversity and a broad distribution across different sectors.
